October was a busy month for us here at 41 Orange. With the leaves changing and the sun shining in San Diego, we’ve been working hard and playing harder. We celebrated four one year work anniversaries for our team members Bianca, Ashley, Alex and Jenny.
This month, our little friend Ryind Gosling was passed to Sam Pearson from Brianna. Sam Pearson received this award from Bri because of her persistence in handling client’s tasks, her hard work to present the best strategic ideas to obtain results and her ability to always have a positive attitude with whatever is handed to her.
In addition to some impactful team building events, our sales team has signed on the company's first enterprise client, ADP. We are excited for this opportunity as we look ahead to our continual growth within our teams and as a company.
With the year coming to a close, leadership lead the team through a company hackathon to optimize our company processes, services and culture so that we can set the pace for the best 2020 possible.
Fulfilling Our Inner Child
Throughout the year, we have been working hard to earn our ACES points to go on this year’s company trip to DISNEYLAND. We had a great time bonding as a team while racing to make it to our fastpasses on time, riding all the thrill rides and eating all the must-have disney snacks.
Say Yes to the Engagement
We are always celebrating our personal milestones and accomplishments as a team, but this was an especially big one. Our director of project management Jenny recently got ENGAGED! We are so excited for her and Jeff — a match made in fitness-enthusiast heaven. We can't wait for their wedding.
Watch Out Hollywood
Another exciting personal milestone goes to our content strategist, Shayla, who made her performance improv team. Shayla is a creative person inside and out, and this is one of her favorite creative outlets. We’re excited to watch her show at the end of the program.
Pumpkin Decorating Festivities
Our Festive Friday Feast this month, of course, was pumpkin day! We enjoyed pumpkin-derived snacks and treats while decorating our own personalized mini-pumpkins to use as decorative pieces on our desks — convenient that it also works for November!
Dress Up Time
We had a spooktacular time on Halloween dressing up for the costume contest and eating candy until we were sick. The winner of our annual costume contest this year was the October and Halloween-loving queen, Brianna. She was dressed as the mayor of Halloween town. To keep the spirit alive we headed over the Old Town cemetery to pay our respects and read the stories of San Diego's settlers.
Go Innovation Go!
This month we also had our educational Innovation Summit to close out 2019. With over 100 attendees in the room, we discussed the topic “Innovation in Technology” with speakers Neal Bloom, founder of Fresh Brewed Tech and Fresh Squeezed Tech, Michael Sikorsky, CEO and co-founder of Robots & Pencils, David Meltzer, CEO and co-founder of Sports 1 Marketing, Jonathan Reynolds, CEO of Titus Talent, and Rob Rader, senior vice president of WindWater Real Estate.
We were excited by the overwhelmingly positive feedback and look forward to the event next year!
We had a crazy October packed full of fun and huge milestones for 41 Orange. We’re looking forward to everything November has in store for us.
